Rate per hour: translation, proofreading and editing:
An hourly rate of €55 to €120 applies to certain assignments when it is difficult to apply a fixed price per word policy, as in the following cases:
- Correction of third party translations.
- Manual extraction (typing) of existing material.
- Context-free texts such as lists of separate words.
- Typing out of audio-visual materials (audio and video recordings).
- Text editing and special DTP work.
- Translation of (difficult readable) hand-written texts.
- Using terminology management programs such as Trados / TM.
Rates specialized translation:
For very specialized translation tasks, a surcharge will be charged. This extra fee covers the cost of possible consultation of an external proof-reader. You will be informed about surcharges, at all times, prior to the official acceptance and commencement of any given project.
