Standard documents & Sworn translations
Arabic and English sworn translations of official and legal documents at GATIM, are delivered through an external group of carefully selected certified partners (translators, interpreters, proofreaders and revisers). Since those documents will ultimately carry our stamp and because we believe a certified status does not necessarily guarantee the quality of a translation all the time, we use stringent requirements for the selection of our partners, some of which are:

The translator/proofreader has years of proven experience in the translation and/or proofreading of official documents and legal texts in the specific language pair. - The translator/proofreader is an experienced linguist who has sufficient knowledge of country and language-specific certification matters.
- The translator/proofreader is able to consult relevant reference material to verify the authenticity of official documents, in cases of (scanned) photocopies submitted for translation.
Surcharge for sworn translations
For certified translations, a standard surcharge of 25% applies to the standard rate. (Note: for non-corporate sworn translations, ONLY the Prompt Payment Discount applies, in the form of upfornt payment by private customers unless exceptions are made after viewing the documents or based on regularity of clientele)

In principle, we do not handle legalizations at the district court. In certain cases and for a fixed fee of € 50 (in addition to costs of the necessary authentications / legalisations) we can take care of the legalisation process.
